There was a moment — not dramatic, not sudden — when I looked at everything I was putting in and on my body and thought: Do I actually know what's in these?
The answer was no.
And once I started looking, I couldn't stop.

The beauty and wellness industry is massive. It's also remarkably unregulated when it comes to the ingredients it puts in and on our bodies — ingredients that don't just sit on the surface. They absorb. They circulate. And for women, whose hormonal systems are already navigating a complex, sensitive ecosystem, the stakes are higher than most brands will ever acknowledge.
Endocrine disruptors. Synthetic fragrances. Parabens. Sulfates. These aren't obscure chemicals buried in fine print — they're staples in mainstream products. And the companies behind them? Most aren't losing sleep over what they're doing to women's hormonal health. Margins are. Market share is. But the woman reading the label at 7 AM, trying to make better choices? She's an afterthought.
That bothered me. A lot.
Why I Started GloweUp
I'm not a scientist. I'm not a dermatologist. What I am is someone who spent too long putting products on my skin without asking the questions I should have been asking — and who decided that wasn't good enough anymore.
GloweUp exists because I believe women deserve wellness and skincare that actually works with their bodies, not against them. Products that are hormone-safe. Products that understand that our bodies aren't static — they shift with our cycle, our stress, our life stage. And products that are transparent about exactly what's inside them.
That's the gap I saw. That's the company I'm building.
